The IBDAM family represents our third generation of Modbus RS485 data acquisition modules designed for demanding industrial environments. These advanced modules facilitate installation and operation by keeping input, output, communications and power functions separate, providing an efficient and flexible solution for data management in industrial systems.
Outstanding Features:
- Compact and Efficient Design:
- Standard size: Each module occupies 6 modules in a “domestic” type electrical panel, allowing easy integration into standard electrical panels.
- Complete Encapsulation: Robust encapsulation prevents access to internal electronics while maintaining the functionality of the plug-in power strips, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.
- Display and Status:
- Front LEDs: Equipped with visible LEDs on the front that provide clear information on the status of the equipment, communications and inputs/outputs, facilitating monitoring and quick diagnostics.
- Power and Connectivity:
- Single Power Supply: All modules in the network are powered from a single 24V DC supply, simplifying configuration and reducing wiring requirements.
- Expansion Capacity: Up to 128 modules can be mounted on a single bus, although we recommend building smaller panels. To optimize performance, it is suggested to include an RS485 line of its own approximately every 32 elements. This can be achieved by using our IB RS485 – Ethernet adapter modules.
- Improvements:
- Inputs and Outputs: The input and output capabilities have been enhanced to offer more power and resolution to meet the demands of advanced industrial applications.
- Enhanced Firmware: The latest version of the embedded firmware offers greater flexibility and functionality, allowing for more complete customization and easier integration into different systems.
- Protections on RS485 lines: to meet overvoltage, overcurrent and static immunity standards.
- Simplified wiring: All inputs/outputs have 2 terminals, which makes installation much simpler compared to our previous equipment.
